elmergui-samples software package provides ElmerGUI samples directory, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install elmergui-samples
elmergui-samples is installed in your system.
Make ensure the elmergui-samples package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep elmergui-samples *
You will get with elmergui-samples package name, version, architecture and description in a table
